Chapter 7:

Devils eyes are cold violet, not fiery red.

"... Su.."

Resu laid in darkness, stirring slightly at the distant, but still very familiar voice.

"Resu...!"

Resu mumbled quietly, feeling the comforting warmth being wrapped around her left hand, and squeezed back slightly.

"Resu!"

Now she was finally coming back to conciousness, opening her eyes drowsily. After few seconds of blur, she saw Toushirou looking down at her, on the other side of her bed stood Hyoukai, a bandage wrapped around his head, but otherwise all right, both males looking at her in relief and worry. "Toushirou? Hyoukai?" Her voice croaked a little due her dry throat, which made he cough slightly. "Resu, what the hell happened? First I hear you and Matsumoto are being beated up in Real world and when I go to the Senkai gate I find you half slaughtered right in front of the open gate!"

Resu looked confused for a moment, but the memories of the night before started to emerge in her mind. She tried to sit up but pain soared through her body and she winced. Toushirou put his hands on her shoulders and gently laid her back on the bed. "Don't, as I said, you were NOT in a good shape when we found you. You're full of cuts." He sat back beside her bed, still looking att her worriedly. Resu's tired, bright-green eyes looked back at his turquoise ones, sadness and desperation in them.

"Rangiku-chan and Hyoushou went to the Real world... And all of sudden we get a message that they are being attacked by some unknown thing. I got there and fought against this thing, but..." Toushirou still looked at her, now understanding in his eyes. Resu bit her lip. "I tried, but... I'm sorry, if it wasn't for my weakness towards fire..." Toushirou ran his hand through her chesnut-brown hair soothingly, capturing stray tears that threatened to escape. "It's okay Resu, it's okay..." He whispered, mentally repeating the same to himself, even though his mind seemed to be as lost as Resu's.

What's happening?

Where's Hyoushou?

Was she allright?

What the fuck this attacker even is?!

"Toushirou?"

Brought back to the reality, he looked at her wife curiously. "What's gonna happen now?" Toushirou furrowed his brows and sighed. "Well, firstly I'm going to go kill my lieutenant and then we have to inform captain-commander and ask what to do." Resu couldn't bring herself to smile even at the comment about killing Rangiku, in any other situation she would've just grinned and silently wondered if Rangiku was able to escape again.

But not right now.

Now only silent sob escaped her lips, angry at herself for her weakness and desperate.

Hyoukai watched them in silence from the doorway where he had backed off as he thought of giving them a little privacy. Though he still heard the part about what had happened. He sighed in frustration and brushed back the hair over his forehead anxiously.

"What the fuck is going on...?!"

~-*Line~Break*-~

As the pain in her chest started to ease it's grip, Hyoushou opened her eyes, finding herself floating in the air, clear blue sky once again spreading around her, except now she could faintly see a heavy, gray line of clouds circling her in distance. 'Again.. What is this place?'

"You certainly seem to be defenseless by yourself."

As Hyoushou turned around she once again was greeted by the snow-white woman. As gracefully as last time they met, the woman moved closer to Hyoushou, her silver-blue hair floating in soft ripples around Hyoushou's face, her hand raising to touch her cheek. "Hyoushou, you must summon me soon. For sake of this world and your own, you must----!"

Suddenly the wind blew harder around them, blocking the womans voice and making Hyoushou to raise her hands to protect her face. "Nnngh, what-?" Hyoushou gasped when she saw the woman floating away, disappearing slowly to the seemingly endless distance. Horrified, she stretched out her hand, reaching out for the woman. "Wait! Please help me!"

Hyoushou distantly heard the woman call out her name, but couldn't make out the words blocked by the wind.

The sky around her started to blur and swirl around her. Hyoushou held her head, closing her eyes tightly as the world continued whirl, gradually shrinking around her before stopping and going completetly black. The blackness wrapped around her, bringing back the burning pain in her chest.

'It hurts...! Help me...!'

The pain subsided little by little, as she also started to feel another things around her. The simultaneous softness and roughness of what her body was laying on. The cool breeze blowing over her face.

And a feeling of someones presence beside her.

Hyoushou's green eyes slowly opened, instantly meeting with blood-red ones, shaded by long, black eyelashes, looking at her. 'This guy...?'

"Oh, I see you're awake."

Hyoushou's eyes widened and she gasped loudly. She backed away from the boy as she could until the back of her head met with a wall and she stopped, fear and defiance in her focused eyes. The boy didn't budge though, and he could swear he heard a silent hiss escape from the white-haired girl's lips. He just rolled his eyes and leaned against the wall. "Calm down, I'm not intenting to harm you."

Hyoushou relaxed her body slightly but didn't move. Could she really trust in the words of this boy? The same boy that had almost killed her mother. Hyoushou tensed again. "Who the hell are you and what do you want from me?" She demanded, not taking any silent treatment.

"My name is Shin and it's not me who needs you. I was merely following orders given to me."

At this, Hyoushou blinked in confusion. What? Orders? From who? As if this Shin knew, he walked to the open door on the other side of the small, sell-like room and motioned Hyoushou to follow her. "Come on, I was ordered to take you toher when you awake." Hyoushou backed up again. Shin sighed and tapped th his sword on his belt. "If you demand so, I can take you there by force. Feel free to choose."

After few seconds of fearful death-glaring, Hyoushou finally gritted her teeth, rose from the bed and slowly and cautiously walked beside Shin. He again motioned Hyoushou to follow and started to walk through the quiet hallway. After walking straight hallway for awhile they arrived to large metal doors, which opened automatically as Shin approached them.

"Torane-sama, she's awake."

In a large hall revealed, in the center of metallic walls and growling, lion- and tigerlike hollows, sitting in a metallic, fur-coated throne, was a woman. She was tall, clad in black shikakushou coat and black-bluish, skin-tight, short leather skirt. The woman's hair was deep indigo-blue, sharply cut, framing her petite face and flowing behind her tall body. She had sharp, bright violet eyes, and they looked straight towards Hyoushou, seemingly reading her every thought and memory, making Hyoushou flinch. The strange woman smiled, not kind, but a confident, mocking smile.

"Welcome to my world, Hyoushou Hitsugaya."

Hyoushou watched her silently, not daring herself to make an answer. She could feel the suffocating pressure the woman emitted and was more tense by minute. The woman's smile widened, revealing her impressively sharp canines as she spoke.

"Oh, but please don't be so tense. After all, what fun can a tense and lifeless bait offer to me?"
